I was born in San Bernardino, California and lived in nearby Fontana until I was four. I grew up in Valley Center, which is a rural community in the North East part of San Diego County, situated between Escondido and Palomar Mountain. At the age of twenty I moved to Del Mar and then later to Encinitas. I have lived in Carmel Valley with my beautiful wife, Karen, for the past eight years. I love paragliding above the cliffs of Torrey Pines State Park. I enjoy surfing and am an avid long distance runner. If you live in Carmel Valley, Del Mar or Rancho Santa Fe, you have undoubtedly seen me running on the local roads and trails, as I have logged thousands of miles running throughout my local community over the years.
